Tapioca Flour

Ceres Organics

  • Tapioca flour is obtained from the cassava plant. It is a slightly sweet, white flour that is high in starch. It helps bind gluten free recipes and improves the texture by adding crispness to crusts and chew to your baked goodies. It is commonly used in cooking as a thickening agent in fruit fillings and glazes or to make puddings and desserts. If mixed with other flours, it can also be used in baking.

  • Use Tapioca flour in combination with other gluten-free flours in all your baking and cooking recipes for best results.

Once opened, store in a sealed container in a cool, dry place and keep away from direct sunlight.

  • "Tapioca flour has become a staple in my baking. Love the natural sweet flavour it delivers to my dishes."
    - Helen McWilliams (Dunedin, New Zealand)

"I love adding a bit of tapioca flour to my gluten free baking, if I’m wanting an extra boost of binding capacity. It helps to hold ingredients together, so is great when you’re not using gluten or eggs. A good rule of thumb is to make around 1/4 of your total flour blend consist of tapioca flour. Healthy gluten and egg free baking ahoy!"
