Felt a hint of chest cough coming on this morning, so out came a flu shot juice. Did you know Gubinge and Camu Camu are the two highest sources of vitamin C on the planet? Up to 60x more than Oranges! Now that's a lot of vitamin C.
The orange and the lemon are also high in vitamin C, as well as other phyto-nutrients to boost the immune system. Carrots are packed with beta-carotene, that turns into vitamin A in the body and can help enhance immunity. The ginger is anti-viral, the garlic and oregano are anti-bacterial, and the turmeric is antimicrobial (an agent that kills microorganisms or inhibits their growth). Meanwhile the celery and parsley are anti-inflammatory, and add a shot of blood-purifying chlorophyll as well.
Try out this juice to help ward off a flu this season, or just to boost your immunity and natural disease-prevention mechanisms.

In a slow juicer, add the garlic and ginger, then the lemon, celery, orange, oregano and parsley, and lastly the carrot to push the other veges through. Add 1/2c water to wash out the remaining juice in the juicer. Mix in the Gubinge/Camu Camu and turmeric, and serve with a few cubes of ice.
